June 24 at 3 am, 5 kms (3 miles) from Rödön Church, Sweden. Something is outside the tent. Loud trampling
woke me. It is already light outside. Tentatively, I look through from under the tent.
A large bull moose is outside. Oh…he just turned his head toward me. I keep lying
down, not moving a muscle. I see his silhouette shadowing on the fabric, I estimate
his distance to be just a meter away. I keep silent, holding my breath. I keep questioning
why I am doing this…

Biography
Walter Sergio Lugari is an emergency nurse working bedside in Städtisches Klinikum Solingen in Solingen, Germany. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cebu Doctors' University in Cebu City, Philippines and has a Fachweiterbildung für die Notfallpflege (Emergency Nursing Specialization) completed at the Caritas Akademie Köln-Hohenlind in Germany. He is currently enrolled in the Master's Degree Programme in Advanced Practice Nursing at Abo Akademi Universitet in Vaasa, Finland. Having experience working in healthcare in varied countries like the Philippines, Italy, and Germany, he is invested in pushing forward with ideas to connect various emergency nursing associations with ENA while finding ways to help international emergency nurses to achieve their goals.
